Set up a location
Work through the setup checklist and see what still needs your attention.
On this page
Open your setup checklist
Choose your location, then open its setup banner. The banner shows the location name and progress while setup is incomplete. Start setup opens Settings → Payments and banking.
Work through the applicable sections in order:
- Accept payments.
- Location information.
- Taxes.
- Products.
- Menu management.
- Website / Online ordering.
- Reservations.
- Team.
- Marketing.
- Point of Sale.
In Products, choose Website, Online ordering, App ordering, QR ordering, Reservations, POS, KDS, Team and Marketing suite as needed. Their setup sections appear when enabled. Menu management remains in the checklist; Point of Sale is shown unless POS is disabled. Website / Online ordering appears when either product is enabled.
Accept payments
Complete business details, representatives and owners, bank details, confirmation and submission, any required identity verification, and your billing payment method. Enter sensitive details and accept terms in the forms provided.
Under review means your submitted information is being reviewed. Details updating means a submission is still synchronizing. Continue with the next available step; submit more information only if requested. Payment acceptance is not ready until the outstanding requirements and activation are complete.
Completing setup in test mode does not enable real payments. New locations start with test mode off.
Location information and taxes
Set Reporting hours, Delivery hours, Pickup hours and Service charge separately. For taxes, choose the tax name, standard and reduced rates, and whether prices include tax.
You can enter hours in the form or ask Gordon, for example: “Set pickup hours to Monday–Friday, 13:00–22:00.” Name the schedule and any days to close. Check the saved result; other days and schedule types should stay as they were.
What completes each section
| Section | What you need to save or complete |
|---|---|
| Menu management | At least one catalogue, menu, category and item at this location. Review the full menu separately if you are importing more. |
| Reservations: Add an experience | An experience saved for this location. |
| Reservations: Add Rooms & Tables | At least one room and one table at this location. |
| Team: Invite team member | A saved staff member at this location and a compensation group in its organization. An invitation alone does not complete both. |
| Marketing: New campaign | A saved campaign. A draft counts; you do not need to activate an offer during setup. |
| Point of Sale: Add receipt logo | A saved receipt logo for the location. |
| Point of Sale: Download and Setup printers | Complete installation and printer setup, then select Mark as done for each. |
Website and online ordering
Open the website editor from the checklist. Follow the steps that apply to your enabled products:
- Upload your logo.
- Add a desktop banner.
- Add a mobile banner.
- Select your menus.
- Connect reservations.
- Connect your domain.
- Add your Google Business Profile URL.
- Add delivery zones.
- Publish your website.
Banners and menu selection are required when Online ordering is enabled. Connect reservations appears when Reservations is enabled. Delivery zones appear when online delivery is enabled.
Use website Settings for menu selection, reservations and publishing; use the Domain tab for the domain and the Google Business Profile panel for its URL. Uploads count once saved. Supply your own images; Gordon does not generate them.
You can ask Gordon for help building the site or finding the next control. Opening a publishing control does not publish the site. Review your saved design before publishing it yourself.
Point of Sale
Visit air-pos.com/download on your Android tablet and install Air POS. Add the location's receipt logo through the POS settings, then open Settings → Printing on the tablet to connect and configure printers.
Check that receipts and tickets print as intended. Use Mark as done after installation and printer setup are complete.
Save, check progress or defer a step
Opening a form does not complete a step: save the requested information. Use “Done, what's next Gordon?” to continue or “Check status, Gordon” for a step under review.
Progress counts completed applicable steps and excludes disabled product sections. You can defer work and return later, but deferred steps remain incomplete. Payment activation is still required before accepting real payments.
Gordon can use the form state available when you send a message, including missing fields and visible errors. It does not continuously watch the screen or receive private field values and identity-document contents. A filled field or attached document still needs to be saved or submitted. If a status check fails, review the displayed error before changing or resubmitting your details.
