Find the right customer
Choose the location, then open Customers. Use phone or email to distinguish profiles with the same name. A profile at another location is a separate record.
A customer profile is different from an order or reservation. The number of saved profiles is not the number of people who purchased during a selected period.
Keep profile details accurate
Profiles can contain names, contact details, notes, allergies, special occasions, customer groups and recorded new/returning status. Delivery details can include address, city, postal code, country and instructions.
New profiles require an international phone number. Changing a profile's phone number does not change the customer's login credentials.
Profile notes describe ongoing information about the guest. Reservation notes, allergies and occasions can apply to one visit. Update the appropriate place and check other details before saving.
Review history and spend
Customer history can include orders, ordered items and reservations. Select the period and measure you need: total spend, average spend, visit frequency or products purchased.
Recorded spend uses payments less refunds and is separated by currency and test/live activity. Average spend is per paid order, not per guest. An order total alone is not proof of payment.
The saved-profile count is independent of sales dates and test/live filters. A top-spending list is not a complete customer list.
Understand buying patterns
A customer's most frequently purchased drink can include drinks chosen inside meals as well as standalone purchases. Consider quantities, the number of orders, the period and any ties.
A group order may include drinks for other people, so a frequent purchase is not necessarily the customer's personal favorite. Anonymous orders cannot establish an individual's preferences.
“New” means there is no recorded prior visit; it does not guarantee the person has never visited. Use recorded VIP and returning classifications rather than assumptions based on names.
Delete a profile
Deleting a customer profile does not delete the person's login account. Linked financial or membership history may prevent deletion. If the profile cannot be deleted, review the explanation or contact support rather than removing related history.
