Earlier message-credit plans
This page explains the earlier message-credit model for customers reviewing old purchases or invoices. It is not a current purchase offer. New plan and top-up purchases and subscription reactivation are no longer available. Check Gordon usage and billing and your account for current terms.
How messages were counted
In the earlier model, a saved user message and a saved Gordon reply each counted separately. One request followed by one reply used two messages. Saved error replies counted too; tool calls, system notices and result cards did not count as chat messages.
An exchange reserved space for both messages. If no reply was saved, only the saved user message counted.
Monthly plans and top-ups
| Monthly plan | Included messages | GBP | EUR | USD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 475 | £19 | €22 | $25 |
| Plus | 975 | £39 | €45 | $49 |
| Pro | 1,975 | £79 | €89 | $99 |
Over 30 days, these allowances averaged roughly 16, 33 and 66 messages a day. Those were planning examples, not daily limits.
| Top-up messages | GBP | EUR | USD |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | £12 | €14 | $16 |
| 250 | £29 | €33 | $39 |
| 500 | £59 | €69 | $79 |
Prices were fixed retail amounts in the purchase currency, not live currency conversions. Existing purchases and subscriptions retained their original amount and currency.
Shared allowances
The earlier model included 50 free messages per calendar month, shared by the team: enough for 25 request/reply exchanges. Organization users shared their organization's allowance, and partner users shared their partner allowance across the restaurants they managed.
The billing account could be selected separately from the location. Only owners and administrators could manage purchases and cancellation; team members used the shared balance.
Free messages reset on the first day of the month in UTC. Paid monthly messages reset on the subscription billing date. Neither monthly allowance rolled over. Free messages were available alongside a paid plan.
Top-ups did not expire. Expiring monthly credits were used before permanent top-ups. These historical rules do not change the billing mode currently shown in your account.
Renewal and cancellation
Plans renewed automatically until cancelled. Cancellation took effect at the end of the paid period. A different plan could be selected after the previous subscription ended under that earlier system.
New purchases and reactivation are now disabled, but cancellation and historical invoice access remain available. Check your account's subscription status and renewal date before assuming a plan has ended.
Historical website-editor credits
Website-editor exchanges used five credits for the saved user message and five for the reply: ten for a completed exchange. Ordinary dashboard exchanges used one plus one.
If a website request failed without a saved reply, the five reply credits were released while the five user-message credits remained used. These credits are separate from current token charges.
Invoices and pending payments
Owners and administrators can view available invoices and download PDFs through Account & billing details in Gordon. History belongs to the paying account and can include previous subscriptions.
A newly paid invoice may take a moment to appear. Use Refresh or Check payment status rather than making another payment. Older top-ups purchased before invoice creation was enabled may not have a downloadable invoice.
The earlier checkout preserved the chat draft and attachments. Confirming payment did not automatically send the draft. If you are investigating an old pending purchase, check its recorded payment status and original currency.
