Printer roles and paper settings
Choose what each printer prints and match its settings to the hardware.

Assign what each printer prints
Open the saved printer in Settings → Printing. Print customer copies and Print kitchen tickets are independent switches. A printer can handle either or both, and several printers can have the same role.
Each assigned printer receives its own job. Check these assignments if you get unexpected duplicates. Names are labels; naming a printer “Kitchen” does not assign its role.
Match the paper and cutter
Choose 80 mm or 58 mm to match the paper. Enable Cut paper after printing only if the printer has a compatible automatic cutter.
Printing settings save immediately. There is no Save changes footer.
Avoid solid black backgrounds
Enable this per-printer option if dense filled areas cause printing problems. It removes large filled headers, priority or tip bars and alarm backgrounds while keeping readable dark text on white.
It applies to customer copies, kitchen tickets, layout tests and reprints. Text, logos and thin rules remain; it does not remove every black pixel or repair the printer.
Automatic printing after payment
Under Automatic printing, choose Customer copies or Kitchen tickets, then set Print after payment. The switch saves immediately for the printers assigned to that role.
You can enable customer copies separately from kitchen tickets. Completed cash, card and payment-link checkouts use these printing settings. A print failure does not mean payment failed; check the transaction before taking payment again.
Incoming online orders
Online delivery and pickup tickets depend on the corresponding auto-accept settings. Keep Air POS open and active with a connected printer assigned to kitchen tickets.
The POS Print after payment switch and online auto-accept are separate controls. A scheduled delivery time can appear on a ticket; do not rely on that time to delay printing automatically.
Manual prints and reprints
From completed checkout or a transaction, Print receipt offers Print customer copy or Print ticket. A transaction reprint uses the printers currently assigned to that role and their current connection, paper and cutter settings. This is useful after switching from USB to Bluetooth.
Checkout and Print jobs reprints retain their original targets. Eligible unsent jobs can use Use current assignment. Reprints are labelled and do not charge the customer again. See Receipts, tickets and print jobs.
Settings belong to this POS
Removing a saved printer removes its assignments from this device. Other tills keep their own settings. Clearing app data or uninstalling can remove the local configuration and history.
