Catalogues

A catalogue is a collection of menus and reusable menu components. You can assign one catalogue to multiple locations so they use the same contents.

Menus organize your items into categories. For example, a dinner menu might contain Starters, Mains and Desserts. Subcategories add another level within a category.

An item can appear in several categories without becoming a separate product. Where it appears and its position in a list are separate from the item itself.

Items

An item is a product you sell, such as a cheeseburger or a soft drink. It has its own name, price, status and other settings.

Items can also be offered as choices inside other products. For example, your existing soft drink can be a drink option in a burger meal.

Choices and variations

Modifiers are selectable choices, such as a side or extra cheese. Modifier groups collect those choices and set the selection rules.

Variations are named versions of an item, such as Small and Large. Each item has its own prices for those variations.

Quick modifiers let staff add customizations and preparation instructions during POS ordering.

Shared components

Reusing an item or group keeps it connected wherever it is used. Editing it can affect other menus or items that share it.

Adding something to another menu is different from making an independent copy. Removing it from one menu is also different from deleting the product.
