Gordon progress, stopping and undo

Understand longer tasks and what happens when work is interrupted.

Follow a longer task

Large imports and other substantial requests can continue through several stages. Follow the progress and completion message to see what has been saved and what remains.

“Gordon is working…” means work is in progress. “Gordon is writing…” appears while the reply is being written. Reloading retrieves saved progress and completed replies; a partial reply is not a completion confirmation.

The task keeps the location it started with. Switching the dashboard location does not redirect it.

Stay signed in

Some work can continue after a connection drops, but closing the browser is not a reliable way to cancel it. Expired sign-in or lost access can interrupt a task. For a long import, keep the dashboard open and stay signed in.

If a task is interrupted, check its progress and saved changes before asking it to continue. Work already saved remains even if the final reply failed.

Stop a task

Use Stop to prevent further work. A save already in progress can still finish. Stopping an import does not undo the products already saved.

Review the completed and remaining work before deciding to continue, correct or undo it. A later failure does not reverse earlier successful changes.

Undo a supported change

Choose Undo on a change card when it is available. It reverses that recorded change, not every change in the conversation. Your current permissions still apply.

Undo preserves unrelated later edits. For example, undoing a stock change after a description edit keeps the newer description. If someone changed the same stock quantity again, Undo can refuse to overwrite it. New dependencies can also prevent restoration.

Older changes may not support Undo. If a change cannot be undone, review the current values before making a manual correction. There is no Redo control. Using the direct Undo button does not use model tokens.

Website undo

Eligible website changes can be undone, including changes to a shared website. Later uploads and unchanged fields remain. If the same part was edited again, undo that newer change first.

Undoing a newly created page returns the editor to Homepage. Undo changes the draft; it does not publish the site.

Changes that need another workflow

Catalogue Undo does not reverse payments, refunds, disputes, fees, payouts, emails or files. Location settings are not automatically covered by catalogue Undo.

Campaigns do not have automatic Undo. Edit the offer or return it to draft to pause it. Review each change's available controls rather than assuming everything in a conversation can be reversed together.
