Menu and location requests
Name the location and product when there could be more than one match. These examples show how to make the intended change clear.
| What you want | Example request or next step |
|---|---|
| Confirm the location after switching | “Which location is selected?” |
| Change a price after switching locations | “Set Acme's Classic Burger to £9.” Check whether the item is shared with other locations. |
| Update a product also used inside meals | “Change Coke to £2.50.” Review its linked meal choices and any separate upgrade prices. |
| Move a batch added to the wrong location | Supply the item names or original menu and identify the destination. |
| Remove a category from one menu | “Remove Desserts from the lunch menu, but keep it on the dinner menu.” |
| Reuse a catalogue at another location | “Assign this same catalogue to Acme.” Ask for an independent copy instead if future edits should stay separate. |
| Add sizes without changing other prices | “Add Small and Large to this item at £6 and £9; keep the existing extras prices.” |
| Record stock | “Enable quantity tracking for these dips and set each to 30.” Use “add 30” instead if you mean an increase. |
Quick modifiers
| What you want | Example request or next step |
|---|---|
| Add an instruction while keeping existing ones | “Add No ice to this item and keep its existing Preparation group.” |
| Edit one keyword | Name the group, existing keyword and replacement. |
| Charge for Extra or Double | State the surcharge. AC needs an amount; the word alone does not set one. |
| Customize sealed bottled water | You may not need any Quick modifiers if you serve it sealed without ice. |
| Record steak doneness | Add relevant individual instructions such as Medium rare for staff to select on POS. |
| Organize ingredients | Group available toppings or dressings so staff can combine them with relevant keywords. |
Reports and settings
| What you want | Example request or next step |
|---|---|
| Find a missing online item | Check selected menus, publication, status, placement, schedule and delivery/pickup availability. |
| Compare net payments | Specify the location, period and currency. Check any note about missing fees. |
| Correct one shift | Identify the staff member, date and time; distinguish one occurrence from the recurring weekly schedule. |
| Find missing transactions | Check location, dates and test/live filters before changing any settings. |
| Make a refund | Use the payment's refund controls and check the result. Asking for a report does not process a refund. |
Undo examples
If you change stock and then edit an unrelated description, Undo on the stock change can preserve the newer description. If someone changes that same stock quantity again, Undo can report a conflict instead of overwriting it.
Check which change card you are undoing. Some actions require manual correction in the app; catalogue Undo does not reverse financial actions.
